Founding Sales Engineer
Own the technical sales motion for SMBs discovering TalkLuna — from first demo to closed deal.
TalkLuna is an AI answering service built for small and mid-sized businesses. We help local shops, service companies, clinics, and growing brands answer every call — naturally, 24/7, without hiring a call center.
As our Founding Sales Engineer, you'll be the first person many prospects meet. You'll show them how Luna works, answer technical questions, and help them see what better phone coverage means for their revenue. This is a builder role: you'll help define our sales playbook, not just run someone else's.
What you'll do
- Run product demos and technical discovery with SMB owners and operators
- Translate customer pain (missed calls, thin margins, no overnight staff) into clear TalkLuna value
- Partner with founders on pricing, packaging, and early GTM experiments
- Give product feedback from the field — you'll shape what we build next
What we're looking for
- 2+ years in sales engineering, solutions consulting, or a technical customer-facing role — ideally selling SaaS to SMBs
- Comfortable demoing software live and adapting to non-technical buyers
- Genuine curiosity about AI, voice, and how small businesses actually operate
- Startup energy: you figure things out, move fast, and care about outcomes over process
- Based in US or Canada; fluent English
Nice to have
- Experience with telephony, CRM, or vertical SaaS (home services, healthcare, real estate, etc.)
- You've sold to or worked inside an SMB — you get the owner's mindset
- Early-stage startup experience
